What is the most important thing to carry with you all the time?

One of the most important things that I carry with me at all times is a ring. The wedding band of my mom is one of the most cherished items that i always wear. It’s a symbol of love for me. They had a successful marriage and were together for over fifty years. She gave it to me as a teen and has been around my neck ever since. The reminder that I have had caring parents, and even with the rough time in the system, the guardians who aren’t my biological parents but saw me as their own child, makes a small light in the world when it feels dark. I will always wear it and hope one day it can be used on my own finger and carry on the love that they gave me and the love they shared with each other.
