Describe an item you were incredibly attached to as a youth. What became of it?

I moved around a lot as a child, and there was one item that had seen it all. It was a handmade baby blanket that was my safety blanket. That blanket went with me to every house I moved into, and I remember keeping it around into my early teens on my bed. That blanket is now in a box in a storage unit. I will keep it with me if I get space, but right now that is where it lays.
