Overcoming Anxiety: Embrace the Now

Do you spend more time thinking about the future or the past? Why?

In the current day, I find myself contemplating what I want to do in the future, while in the past, I often fixated on my previous actions, becoming hung up on what I did or said and wondering how I could have done things differently. Over the past year, I have learned that I can’t fix or change what has already been done. I am working on being more present, trying to soak in every moment I can. Although I can’t change my past actions, I can change my present behavior and mindset. I strive to focus on the positives and the light in the world rather than the darkness, even if it plays a role in the universe. I recognize that I have spent too much time worrying and dealing with anxiety, so I want to dedicate more time to being present and awake.

I want to invest more time in my existing relationships, as well as in the relationship I have with myself, by focusing on prioritizing and avoiding the tendency to spread myself too thin.
